Research on this topic has been performed in the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) project: “Scalable dye-sensitized solar cells – Development of new electrolytes for  dye-sensitized solar cells with long-term stability”. New electrolytes supporting the commercial development of DSSC technology have been introduced by the Darmstadt-headquartered company under the trade name “livion”. They incorporate Solarpur brand single materials or chemicals treated in accordance with comparable standards. The electrolytes available range from mixtures based on public information, through in-house developments, to customized mixtures exclusively developed together with and for the company’s partners.
