Multi Daylight Dazzles
Willard & Kelsey Solar Group has begun high-volume production of Cadmium Telluride (CdTe) solar panels at its plant in Perrysburg, Ohio using the Ypsator Multi Daylight Laminator.
First of its kind in the North American market, the lamination system displays a host of powerful features including thermal fluid platen heating assuring uniform heating of the modules across the platen, minimized edge pinch due to the hydraulic hot pressing step, reduced cycle time due to the split lamination process, and uniform cooling resulting in flat modules having reduced internal stress. As a multi daylight system the overall machine footprint is significantly reduced as compared to single daylight systems. The system as supplied has a capacity of 140 modules per hour.
